I pulled a muscle in my groin area whilst doing knee raises last summer 2010 my Gp said would heal slowly what?

I developed lump in my left groin area is was told it was a blocked pore, then by another GP it was a cyst, I went for an hospital appointment and was told it is a swollen lymph node? Im quite worried as it has taken 7 months for this to be found out , I have been booked in for the lymph node to be removed in 7 wks ? has anyone got advise on this type of ailment , its a bit of a dull ache down my thigh and the lump sometimes hurts? Thank you i would so grateful
