In your opinion, why do poor couples tend to have so many kids while upper-cl folks have so few?

I think it's a matter of different priorities. Those 'dirt-poor Mexicans' might have been religious and thought it was best to have a lot of babies. Those rich actresses didn't want to lose their perfect bodies and loads of cash. Some people value family over money. It's all about choice.
