Anyone been to the emergency room for TMJ?

My fear is that I will open my mouth a little too wide, while yawning or something, and get my jaw stuck open. I have had this happen to me once before and it was incredibly painful! Fortunately it was only for a few seconds, but i can imagine if it got REALLY stuck!! Is this a concern for anybody else?! Has anyone else had experience with this??
