Pontiac Grand AM?

I am looking at a 2000 pontiac grand am with 138000(mostly highway) miles on it. It has leather, moonroof, power seats, chrome GT rims, traction control, and all the little things. My main concern is the engine. The exterior and interior are in perfect shape. Just wondering if any of you mechanics out there, or grand am owners could tell me anything about the engine and how reliable it is? The car is listed at 3800 dollars right now and I am cautious on buying it because of all the miles it has. Is this a good buy?
