Role of the Typhoon in current operations?

What is the current role of the eurofighter typhoon in the RAF as there are only Torando GR4's and Harrier GR9's stationed in the middle east. Are typhoons only taking part in domestic operations at the moment, and if so when will they be taking part in operations outside of the UK?
